A1 Kimberlite
____________________
Arnold Township
Near Kirkland Lake, Ontario

Confirmed as a kimberlite pipe from drilling in 1987 by Lac Minerals.

There is no known Diamond Testing.
Historically, not much work has been performed on the A1 Kimberlite Pipe.  The pipe is visible as a magnetically high bullseye from the government airborne map.  This prompted initial exploration, with the first recorded work being a magnetic survey in 1984.   1987 Lac Minerals repeated the magnetic survey and drilled a vertical hole into the target.  The drill hole was drilled to a depth of 351 meters; however, only the first 260 meters were reported.  From 157 to the end of the reported depth, it was reported as an ultramafic breccia, later identified as Kimberlite.  This drill core cannot be located, and no diamond testing was reported.

Recently, two samples were recovered from the property and tested for underlying diamond potential.  The second sample produced a high chromium garnet, an indicator of a diamond-bearing kimberlite.

This kimberlite has only one drill hole in it.  This drill log shows no evidence of testing for diamond potential.  Another pipe located approximately 1 kilometre from the property reported the recovery of 7 diamonds, 2 of which were macro diamonds.
